Holding a BA in Liberal Studies and an MA in Curriculum and Instruction, I've taught 3rd, 5th, and 7/8th-grade math for 18 years before transitioning to administration. Raised in the Northwest, I attended Catholic school like our students. My husband and I reside in Kent, enjoying dining out, movies, coastal visits, and family time. Thrilled to be part of Holy Family School, I'm eager to nurture our community.​

It is such a joy to watch the Pre-K students grow and learn throughout the school year. Their laughter and smiles make the school day so much brighter. I have been helping in the Pre-K class at Holy Family School since 2016 and have been a parishioner here at Holy Family Church ever since I can remember. Growing up in nearby Pacific, I would attend Mass every Sunday morning with my mother and grandmother, and Religious Education class (CCD back then) on Wednesday nights. I am an Auburn Riverside High alum and have a Bachelor’s degree from Central Washington University. My wonderful husband and I have four lovely children, two currently attend and two have graduated from Holy Family School. I love spending time with my family, traveling to the beach, baking, reading books, and being creative with arts and crafts.

Hello, I'm Donna Marie Brain, and I'm thrilled to continue teaching 1st grade at Holy Family. Originally from Ohio, I cherish memories of my Polish-Catholic upbringing at St. Casimir in Cleveland. Settling in the Pacific Northwest, I met my husband Tom, and we're proud members of St. Martin of Tours in Fife. Now residing in Milton, Tom and I enjoy fishing and crabbing. Our son is pursuing a music major at Central Washington University. With a recent BA in Early Childhood Education from Woodring College, I'm passionate about guiding first graders through their many milestones, from reading to mathematical thinking. Can't wait to meet you all!

I am excited to teach 1st grade at HFS. I grew up in Kent and moved to Auburn in 2015. I decided to make a change in careers and earned my teaching certificate in 2022. Even though this is my first year teaching at HFS, my son has been a student here for four years. My son and I enjoy sailing, going to Sounder games, and eating yummy Italian food!

Hello, I'm Shelly Hammond.  Originally from Amarillo, Texas, I've embraced the nomadic life as a military spouse for nearly 24 years, residing in over 8 states and abroad. With a background in high school Literature, I've been in education since 2005. Holding a Masters of Education and a Reading Specialist degree, I'm currently pursuing an Education Specialist degree from the University of Florida. Teaching 5th grade is my passion, facilitating students' transition from elementary to middle school, making it my most rewarding experience in the classroom.

Mr. Coons grew up in University Place and earned a BA in Elementary Education from Western Governors University.
Mr. Coons is excited to teach at HFS, where faith and values are integrated into each subject. His favorite part of teaching is watching students grow academically, socially, and emotionally throughout the year. Mr. Coons enjoys working with students to reach their goals because of the confidence and joy it brings them.
Mr. Coons has an interest in a variety of sports, including coaching his bonus son’s baseball team. He enjoys going on adventures with his dog, and making a positive impact in the community and on future generations.

Welcome to Mr. Rupp's classroom! I have taught at Holy Family since 2017, I'm also a parish member since 2008. As the 7th grade Homeroom teacher, I instruct Geometry, Algebra, Pre-Algebra, 6th Grade Math, and 7th and 8th Grade Science. With a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington, I've previously worked as a software engineer for Hughes Missile Systems, Raytheon, Lockheed Martin, and Boeing. I've served 15 years in the U.S. Marine Corps as a Ground Radio Repairman and Combat Engineer. Living in Auburn with my wife and children, both Holy Family School graduates, we enjoy fishing, cooking, and Montana outings.

May name is Carri Burk and I have been teaching at HFS since 2015. My family have been Parishioners here for over 20 years. My three children all graduated from HFS and I graduated from St. Michael’s in Olympia, Bellarmine Preparatory, and the University of Portland with a History degree and minors in Political Science and German. After earning an MBA, I worked for a telecommunications company in Texas before starting a family. Later, I earned a Masters in Education. I'm passionate about the transformative power of a Catholic Education, nurturing spiritual and academic excellence in students.​

I grew up in a small town in Illinois near St. Louis.  My family moved to Montana and I attended the University of Montana where I earned degrees in Music Education and Vocal Performance. While in college,  I was part of the Grizzly Marching Band, Concert Band, Chamber Chorale, and Opera Theatre.
One of my  favorite thing about teaching is building community and relationships with my students and seeing them smile and enjoy music class.

My name is Jaymi Fox and I have the opportunity to teach PE at Holy Family School. I grew up in Enumclaw and graduated in 2001 from Northwest University with my degree in teaching. I have taught in the Renton, Enumclaw, and White River School Districts, as well as Renton Christian School. I love spending time with my husband and two children. We ride bikes, play games, go camping, and enjoy being outdoors. I am so blessed to invest in the lives of the Holy Family students. I have no doubt that God has called me to HFS at this time for His purpose.

As the Development Director for Holy Family School, I oversee fundraising, including the annual Auction, and support school marketing/enrollment. Additionally, I assist in the office and supervise the playground during lunch recesses. My two daughters currently attend HFS, and my husband works at Manheim in Kent; we're a proud Holy Family School family! I attended St. Francis of Assisi Catholic grade school, John F. Kennedy High School, and Seattle University. After an internship with Bank of America in London and work in foreign exchange at Seafirst/Bank of America, I spent almost 20 years at Microsoft before joining HFS in 2012.

Hello! I'm Leah Marcoe,  and I have taught kindergarten at Holy Family since 2020. Raised in Renton, I attended St. Anthony’s and Kentridge High School before earning my BA in Elementary Education with a Reading endorsement from Saint Martin’s University. Teaching kindergarten brings me immense joy; I love nurturing their curiosity and witnessing those "light bulb" moments. Outside the classroom, I enjoy family time, Barre3 classes, hiking, and diving into audiobooks.​

Originally from the East Coast, my husband and I relocated to Tukwila in 1999. Despite initial skepticism about the Pacific Northwest's rain and trees, a visit in April showcased the region's beauty, especially Mt. Rainier. Settling in Black Diamond, our son Jonathan attended HFS from Kindergarten to 8th grade, graduating in 2011, followed by our daughter Julia in 2017. Working remotely as a programmer of online training courses allowed me to volunteer at HFS. With 19 years at HFS, I've supported various roles, including teaching Technology and managing the library, leveraging my software engineering background and Civil Engineering degree from Lehigh University.
