Current Health/Safety Plans

Thank you for choosing Holy Family School and working with us with all the changes during the Covid-19.  We are continuing full-time in-person instruction for all students in the 2022-23 school year.

Protocol

  • Morning Routine: All families are encouraged to use our drive-through carpool line.  Drop off and pick up is encouraged by car through the back gate and out the gate by the parish hall.  Morning drop off:   Cars will drive through the carpool lane, stop, and let students out to stand on blue dots.  Any student with symptoms of Covid-19 and/or fever, cough, should not attend school. The gates will be locked shortly after 8:25 am.
  • Late Students: Late students are to be escorted by their parents to the glass doors on 17th street.
  • Dismissal Routine: The car drive through will be similar to our current pick up procedures. Students will be spaced with proper distancing by the yellow curbs.  Cars are to drive in through the back gate, follow the carpool route and line up along the school building. Once the cars are stopped the students will enter the cars and exit when cars are loaded.  Please wait for the line to move, do not drive around parked cars.
  • Parents/Volunteers:  Face coverings will be optional for all individuals.  Volunteers need to complete the Virtus Safe Environment training and present proof of vaccination in order to volunteer inside the school building.
  • Staff:  All staff will also have the option for face coverings.   All teachers, staff, administrators, coaches, and custodians must present proof of vaccine.
  • Recess Plans:  Recess entrance and exits, play areas, will be spaced for safe distancing and in an assigned rotating zone area for play time.
  • Lunch Plans: All students will eat in their classrooms.  If weather permits, classes may eat outdoors.
  • Cleaning Procedures: Classroom desks, door knobs, light switches will be cleaned throughout the day.  Desks will be cleaned whenever there is a change of students and after eating lunch. Bathrooms will be cleaned throughout the day.
  • Classroom Safety: The social distancing guidelines have been relaxed. Teacher will allow for individual space in the learning environment, but we will return to pod seating. Expectations and routines will be taught in the classrooms and for moving to and from school areas; such as changing classes, recess procedures and/or other routines. Windows and doors will remain open for ventilation.  Every classroom is equipped with an air purifier that will run all day, then be switched to ionization mode at night.
  • Universal Face Covering: CFace masks are optional in- and outdoors while on campus. There will be times during the year where a mask will be asked to be worn by students and teachers, which include, but are not limited to, if a positive case is reported by a student or adult in a classroom, for all school events of special circumstance. Students should have access to masks in their backpacks for these circumstances.
  • Please do your part to make our teachers, students, and parents safe by doing the following: Make sure that anyone coming to school, children and adults, have access to a mask. Ensure that everyone coming to school knows how to properly wash and sanitize their hands and practice doing it. Stay at home when you are sick – whatever your illness. Notify the school right away if you, someone in your home, or someone to whom you have been exposed is diagnosed with COVID-19.
